Somehow I made it to the 6th day of fashion week, amen! (Insert praise emoji here.) The day started out with heading to the H&M showroom with Lookbook. It was fun to play dress up with Sunny and Rachel-Marie in furs and leathers. Then Rachel and I decided to snap some photos while we were in Soho for our looks that day. After a quick juice and fruit break, I had to shoot for H&M and then get ready to head out to Style 369’s after party at the Sanctuary Hotel in Times Square. I didn’t stay for too long because I had to head back down to Soho to meet with friends for a birthday. I had an amazing Kombucha cocktail made with champagne at this old fashion speakeasy we celebrated at.
I really love this Joyrich dress Kiley Kouture send me specifically for Fashion Week. It’s from Joyrich’s newest collection and I love the fit of it. I’m a tiny bug so its hard for me to look good in dresses because I never really fill them out, but this one is super fun and youthful. I paired it with the Jeffrey Campbell’s I wore the first day of fashion week, although I did think about wearing bright pink shoes. Black and white vibes.

I took a time out from all the shows and high-heel walking of Fashion Week to have a rooftop brunch with Pavan Liqueur. I was delighted to be one of the few bloggers + celebrities who were invited to a three course meal accompanied by a variety of different cocktails made with Pavan.
I have to say the creative director of Pavan is just a gem, so petite and fashionable! She started the brunch with a toast and a little history of her liqueur. She had spent a lot of time in the south of France (like myself) and came up with the idea and name while staying there. Bridget Bardot was one of the main inspirations for the liqueur, so you know I was immediately sold. Maybe it’s just because it’s inspired by France and fashion babes, but I really enjoyed the drinks.
I also had the pleasure of sitting next to the wonderful, Kate Nash. She is such a honest soul and beautiful spirit. We talked about fans, young girls, high school, boys, salt, chips, etc. I’m so excited for her to come back to Brooklyn in November.
At the end we were all send home with a goodie bag full of new bottles of this deliciously chic liqueur, so you know I’m about to have to have 37 cocktail parties in my backyard before it gets too cold. Oh and if you’re dreaming of the south of France now like I am, you can enter their contest to win a trip here.
New York Fashion Week day 3 and we’re still alive and running. First show of the day was Herve Leger, which was chic as hell. Black and white, especially white, is everything right now. Cut outs so fly, Herve was on his A game this season. I was feeling over it, so I threw on the new UNIF yokel shortalls and metal bustier. I hid my big sleepy eyes behind some alien wildfox shades and was feeling as dark as I was looking.
Despite my tired state, I headed to the Lookbook Refresh party after leaving the Lincoln Center. I decided it was time for my first drink of fashion week. Of course, like all good evenings that start with free champagne and manicures, it ends up back in Brooklyn on the floor with a cigarette, playing around on the streets. My home girls Shooka and Eugenie were in town so you know we had to turn up.
I’ll try to keep you guys as updated as possible, but it’s hard to post and make it to every event as well. I just got back from the H&M showroom and about to shoot a little campaign for their new Paris Fall Collection, then it’s off to the Style.com party! Fashion week doesn’t stop, and neither do I (apparently..)

Today I was feeling like a rainbow space alien, obviously. Hehe, but really, getting a little extra sleep this morning before another big day of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week never felt so good! I think I actually felt like wearing color because I woke up without an alarm, prayed and was able to grab a big peanut butter latte from the shop across the street before even thinking about fashion. Nothing like a peaceful morning to get you mentally prepared for the day.
While getting ready, I switched between Bassnectar and Emanicpator which got me in the mood to put on this Over the Rainbow Lakehouse tee by Wildfox from their new Daisy’s Girls collection. It matches perfectly with the kitten pink shades by them, but I like to call them my alien shades. Finally, I knew it was time to pull out the glitter platforms. I’ve been waiting to wear these babies for a while now and today finally felt like the day! My dad calls me Jean Simmons when I wear them and I when I texted him a picture of my outfit today, he said I looked like Jean Simmons X Marlo Thomas. We used to love watching the show “That Girl” together, mostly because my dad says I remind him of her.
But voila, you have the tips to get your rainbow space alien look! Now it’s time to get ready for the Nastygal party in Williamsburg tonight, can’t wait!!

Fashion week has officially started and it seems everyone brought their A game this season. This morning I rolled up fashionably late, but still managed to make it into BCBG’s runway show. For me, the best part of the collection was the end where they brought out soft but very dark leather pieces. After that we headed across the street to a little spot for lunch where we ran into Joan Rivers, what a boss! Afterwards, I got to model the new goggle glasses and was photographed by a few well-known names like NYLON and Polyvore.
By then it was time to head into the Desigual show which was a blast! I was stoked to have a seat at the event from NJOY and I’ll be attending a lot more shows and after parties for them, bringing you live fashion week coverage! So be sure to follow the hashtag, #njoyfw to see what I’m up to! Some of the events I’ll be at for NJOY include the Charlotte Ronson after party and Jill Stuart.
So yes, it’s going to be a crazy week here in New York City, but I’ve got my outfits ready and shoes like you’ve never seen before.

You know you like it, but it drives you insane. Some people want me to be heads or tails. I should be happy, not tipping the scales. I’m no fool. I don’t take things as they come, if they bring me down. I’m a dreamer and I just want to have so fun. Don’t tell me what to wear, don’t tell me how things should be done. You know you like it, but you’re scared of the shame.
I want you to be yourself. I love it when I see you having fun. And you can call me your fool, but I just wanna see my baby smile.
I love Fashion Week, but some people take it so seriously… it’s almost hysterical. I know, I know.. collections and business and everything is very serious! But street style? Come on, that’s personal art. That’s someone’s prerogative and soul. Does it really matter what you think of them? Your negative opinions only affect you, not the person you’re attempting to project at. People should be enjoying themselves, not bashing others. What a waste of energy.
I must say, I haven’t wasted a second. I’ve been having such a good times this week. And no, not because of the free clothes, food, drinks and everything. I’ve been having a good time because I’ve spent it with my best friend and fellow fashion blogger, Jag Lever. And our good friend, Brandon! Friends are everything. People over dumb clothes, anyday.
